Bhaskar Roy Barman (Dr.) was born on February,19, 1950 at Badurtala. Comilla (now in Bangladesh, former East Pakistan). He is an internationally published poet, short-story writer, novelist, translator, critic and book-reviewer. He did M. A. in English literature, B. Ed. (Methods in Teaching) and D. Litt in Language and Linguistics. Ph. D. and D. Litt. and is presently working as a teacher.

DrBhaskar Roy Barman, an internationally published poet, short story writer, novelist and translator, critic and book-reviewer from Agartala (India) has conceived the idea of forming a WORLD LITERATURE SOCIETY worldwide with the object in mind of bringing on a common platform all literary practitioners from all over the world. Many poets and scholars of international repute have delightedly responded to his appeal to align themselves with the cause of forming the world literature society worldwide.
The WAAC, France and IICCA, Chandigarh have supported the WLS.
